Giger's Mothership
$3,000.00
Jason Hite's largest digital sculpture fully realized in cast urethane resin. This piece was created using modern digital sculpting techniques in a program called Zbrush. Once complete, the sculpture was printed in 8 pieces on a large format 3D SLA printer. Each part was painstakingly reassembled. From there, all the seams had to be filled and removed. The print material is not long-lasting, prompting Jason to make a complex matrix mold from the print to create this very durable urethane resin cast. This is the first of only three castings that will be made.
*Size is 19" x 16" x 10" on a 15" round wood base and copper stand. Total height with stand is about 25" tall.
