Figure created for the H.R. Giger Tribute show in March of 2023 for the Copro Gallery in Santa Monica, California. A further exploration of my Hierophant bust. This highly detailed sculpture is 21" x 12" x 10" figure is 15" tall.

Inspired by my study of the occult and legendary surrealist H.R. Giger. Sculpted in ZBrush and printed in resin. The Holy Daimon represents glimpses of something I‘ve seen in my dreams, and felt it helping me through difficult times in my life. A Holy Daimon is a powerful cosmic being created to aid a single human in reaching a higher vibrational level of existence and relaying messages to and from the divine. It's an angel, but not in the biblical sense. If the circumstances deem it necessary, it allows the human who it is charged with helping to endure great suffering to bring that person closer in line with divinity. Pain for the greater good. The word "Daimon" is derived from the Greek word meaning demon. The long, slender blades on its back are not only retractable weapons for protecting the soul it is bound to, but wings for flight. One Holy Daimon is assigned to every living human soul on the planet at birth. Most people are never aware of them. Daily meditation and certain rituals enable Daimons to reveal themselves to the person they are bonded to. They can traverse the Mental, Astral, and Spiritual planes of reality as a nonphysical being. When necessary, Daimons form a fleshy corporeal body in our physical plane of existence, with bleached bones partially gilded in gold. Their appearance might be frightening, but these compassionate, genderless angels spread goodwill towards humankind and work diligently to bring us all closer to god.

Rough sketch I did before I started sculpting the body.
